ACT-SO ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Each contestant must:
1. be of African-American descent
2. be enrolled in grades 9-12
3. be a citizen of the United States
4. be an individual who has demonstrated a genuine interest in one of the following categories listed below.
5. submit a seperate project, one contestant per category. (contestants may enter up to (3)
categories)
6. have never performed as a paid professional in any category of competition. (each contestant must be
of amateur status)
7. be responsible for transportation of project.
8. conform to space requirements as dictated by category.
